SECURITY RECOMMENDATIONS. (the information in this chapter should be highlighted and in a bigger font than the rest of the document.) 

 

It is suggested that the user keeps this document which contains relevant information, instructions, warnings and precautions for the correct use of this product. Read this completely before assembly and use.

 

PRECAUTION: Omitting the instructions, and precautions included in this user manual can result in fires or material damage, such as bodily injuries, burns and the death of any person or animal that is close by or interacts with the barrel grill.

 

This barrel can only be used in spaces that are well ventilated in order to avoid the accumulation of toxic smoke which can cause suffocation, damage or harm.

 

Avoid using flammable substances to ignite the charcoal. 

 

Avoid putting charcoal outside the smoker cylinder and never put charcoal directly over the base of the barrel.  

 

Do not use lighter fluids, gasoline, alcohol or other highly volatile substances to ignite or reignite the charcoal.

 

Do not use this barrel on laminated wooden floors or on any other flooring that might become deformed by high temperatures.

 

Do not use or store gasoline, alcohol or any other highly flammable liquids at a distance of less than five feet (1.50 m) from the barrel grill

 

While the barrel grill is being used, do not allow babies, children or pets close by without supervision. 

 

This barrel grill and its interior accessories can reach temperatures as high as 660º F. For that reason, avoid moving it or putting objects on top of it while in use.

 

Do not use this barrel grill less than 10 feet (3 mt) from any kind of combustible material or gas lines.

 

Use this barrel grill only when all parts are correctly installed in their place. Avoid igniting it if any of the parts that are described in the assembly manual are missing.

 

Verify that the charcoal is completely cooled before removing them. 

 

When igniting or using the barrel grill, avoid using clothing with loose, long sleeves or hanging accessories. 

 

Use the barrel grill in a dry and illuminated place and keep it on a flat and firm surface at all times. Strong winds could knock over the barrel and cause an injury or start a fire. For that reason, this item should not be used under these climate conditions.

 

Some of the chemical substances derived from the combustion are considered to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm by the state of California.

 

In order to verify if the barrel is hot, observe the thermometer that is on the outside, but avoid touching the barrel and its accessories.

 

Because of the high temperatures that this barrel reaches, you should always use hot pads or thermal gloves in order to avoid burning your hands.

 

Use tools and the original accessories or ones made of stainless-steel type 304. Do not use accessories that are made of other materials on the barrel grill.

 

Do not allow direct contact of the barrel grill with water or cold liquids while it is still hot. 

 

Separate the thermometer from the cylinder before cleaning it. 

 

In order to extinguish the charcoal, you should wait until the embers are completely cool. If you need extinguish them quickly, smother the embers with plenty of sand. Do not use water. 

 

Keep electric cords far from hot surfaces of the barrel and its accessories.

 

WARNING! Keep the barrel grill, hooks and all other sharp accessories out of the reach of children and pets.

 

Do not use the barrel grill on surfaces that are susceptible to fires or melting.

 

Never use steel wood, metallic sponges, abrasive products, sharp or pointy objects to clean the grill barrel and its accessories. This causes damage to the material and furthermore leads to its oxidation.
